Audition will be held December 7th (2:00 p.m.) and 8th (6:30 p.m.)
at the Nite Lite Theatre office 500 West Eaton Street in Trenton
Cast requirements for Harvey: Six men, five women of varying ages
Hopefuls should be able to provide a list of schedule conflicts, and make note of those conflicts on your audition form when you try out. Auditions will consist of dry reads from the script.
Characters (and approximate character ages) include:
Elwood P. Dowd - 45 and up
Veta - Elwood's sister, 45 and up
Myrtle Mae - Elwood's spinster niece, daughter of Veta, 20 to 35
Mrs. Chauvenet - Socialite, 45 and up (small part, must support cast backstage)
Dr. Chumley - age 50 and up
Mrs. Chumley - age 50 and up
Dr. Sanderson - 25 - 40(?)
Ruth Kelly - Dr. Sanderson's chief Nurse, 20 to 35
Wilson - Sanitarium Attendant, age 25 - 40
Judge Gaffney - Dowd family legal counsel, 45 and up
Cab Driver - male, any age (small part, must support cast backstage)
Performance dates will be February 12-14, 2009 (7:30 p.m.)
and February 15 (2:00 p.m.) at Peabody High School in Trenton.
There will be a dinner theatre performance on February 14th.
